Collar Classic

Under beautiful, sunny skies, more than 200 softball fans gathered at Elmwood Park in West Fargo on Father’s Day to watch the annual Shepherds versus Seminarians softball game. This year’s “Collar Classic” went to the seminarians by a score of 14-7, despite two towering home runs by shepherds’ star Father Jayson Miller, pastor at Holy Rosary in LaMoure. Members of the Knights of Columbus Council 9642 at Holy Cross in West Fargo cooked up free burgers and hot dogs for those attending the game. The game is a way for the priests and seminarians to have fun and fellowship together before the seminarians return to their studies in the fall. (Photo by Fr. Kyle Metzger)
