Vicar General / Vicar for Clergy

As directed by the bishop, the Vicar General of the Diocese of Fargo may act in the name of and with the authority of the bishop according to Canon Law. He oversees a number of diocesan entities.

Very Reverend Luke D. Meyer serves as Vicar General, Vicar for Clergy and as Moderator of the Curia.  He represents the bishop in the life and ministry of the priests and deacons. The Curia is the Chancery, or Offices of the Bishop, and associated offices. As Moderator of the Curia, Fr. Meyer is, in essence, the ecclesiastical office manager for the diocesan offices.

Fr. Meyer also supervises the Victim Assistance program.
