The Pilgrims from the Young Adult Jubilee Pilgrimage enjoyed their first full day in Rome. They because the day early with a visit to the Vatican Museums and got to see the Sistine Chapel. Bishop Folda and Fr. Slattery arrived safely to Rome and was able to join the group just in time for lunch. Bishop led the pilgrim's in the Jubilee procession to and through St. Peter's Basilica Holy Door. The Pilgrims were able to pray the prayers they gave us as we walked in procession through St Peter’s Holy Door. What a blessing it is to have Bishop led our pilgrims through the Holy Door.
After the procession, the pilgrims went to St. Mary Major and celebrated mass. They were also able to stop and pray at the tomb of Pope Francis. For supper they were in three groups at various local restaurants. It was a great full day. Everyone doing well.
