Today, the pilgrims had another full day in Rome. They started the day out with an early morning departure to the Basilica of St. Peter. Bishop Folda celebrated mass in the crypt of the Basilica for the pilgrims. It was a special day for Bishop Folda, as 36 years ago on this day, he was ordained to the priesthood! What a blessing it was to be able to share his anniversary with him in such a special place.
After mass, the pilgrims split into three different groups and saw different sites. Some of the groups got some great views of the ancient Roman Forum. They enjoyed a picnic lunch before they met up again at St. Clement church and had dinner together. They look forward to another full day tomorrow, and most especially, the Papal Audience.
