Seminarian Joseph Gray

Joseph Gray was born into a strong Catholic family in Fargo, ND. They always went to Mass on Sundays, prayed the rosary in the evenings and always supported each other in their faith. Joseph loved serving Mass as an alter boy. The call to the priesthood first emerged when he went on a Steubenville retreat in St. Paul, MN. At the end of the retreat any young guys open to the idea of becoming a priest where invited to come forward. Joseph was among them. After this, Joseph started attending discernment retreats to discover more about the priesthood. At the Vianney Discernment Weekend retreat in February of 2025, he spoke to the vocation director about applying for seminary. Afterwards he felt a strong sense in his heart that he should apply. Joseph is in preparatory formation at St. Gregory the Great Seminary in Seward, NE.
