    • Marriage - The Hope for True Love

Couple on the beach at sunsetWhen we first get married we usually have an image of what our new life together is going to look like - a partnership of life marked by deep joy, an  unbreakable bond of friendship, and a mutually satisfying sexual relationship.  It's often not long before we begin to experience a very different reality than what we anticipated.  The disillusionment can lead to some couples to think that their original hope for marriage was never anything more than an unrealistic fantasy.  But Jesus Christ boldly told his followers, "I have come that they might have life and have it to the full." (Jn 10:10).  This is as true of his design for marriage as it is for the general Christian life.  A vibrant, joy-filled marriage was always God's intention for marriage and with His grace, our commitment, and a plan for growing in love together, it is truly possible.  This is where Retrouvaille comes in.

    • Retrouvaille: A Lifeline for Married Couples (beginning February 28-March 2)

Retrouvaille is an international, peer-run program that has helped hundreds of thousands of hurting married couples turn the tide, find new hope, and rediscover the love that initially brought them together. Surveys have shown that 3 out of 4 couples who complete the entire program are still married five years later with stronger, healthier marriages.

      What is the structure?
Retrouvaille takes place over three-months and begins with an intensive weekend experience during which husbands and wives can re-establish communication and start to restore trust and intimacy in their relationship. The weekend is followed by 6 follow-up sessions that deepen the skills learned during the weekend and provide a foundation for the long-term health of the couple’s marriage.  Weekend presentations will be given by 3 presenting couples and a Catholic priest.Who is this for?

Retrouvaille is a Christian program, Catholic in origin, that has been helping married couples for over 45 years. It is open to any husband and wife who have experienced any degree of hurt or disillusionment in their relationship. From those who simply struggle to get on the same page to those who are already separated or divorced, Retrouvaille offers real help and lasting renewal.  Couples need not be Catholic to attend.  A few questions help to identify if Retrouvaille could be right for you and your spouse:

      • Has your romance faded?
      • Do you argue without reaching resolution?
      • Are there aspects of your relationship that you can speak with each other about?
      • Are you more like roommates than soul mates?
      • Have you grown apart?
      • Is your marriage in crisis?

      What make Retrouvaille unique?
You will never be asked to share your personal issues with others. Couples are able to remain as anonymous as they want throughout the program.  Also, our presenters are trained and experienced in delivering the program effectively.  In addition, we offer ongoing support and continuing education that help couples implement a lifetime of change for the better.

When is the next Retrouvaille program?
The Red River Retrouvaille Program will begin the 2025 cycle on the weekend of February 28-March 2, 2025.

The six follow-up post weekend sessions will take place on Saturdays from 9:30am-2:30pm on the dates listed below.  These are an integral part of the Retrouvaille program.
      • March 8
      • March 22
      • April 5
      • April 12
      • April 26
      • May 10

      How much does it cost?

The non-refundable registration fee is $375.  This does not cover our cost in putting on the program, but we are committed to not allowing finances to stand in the way of the renewal that married couples need.  Because the registration fee does not cover the cost of the program, there will be an opportunity to give an additional voluntary donation at the end of the weekend, if a couple chooses to do so.  However, there is no required additional cost.

Who can I talk to for more information?
You can call the confidential Retrouvaille line at 701-356-7962 or email [email protected].  All communication is kept confidential.  Or, you can register using the form below.
