For twelve weeks each summer, Cor Christi Missionaries serve middle and high school youth across the Diocese of Fargo by hosting weekly events in the Fargo area and in parishes throughout the diocese. Each gathering includes recreation time, a shared meal, a dynamic keynote talk, and opportunities for Adoration and Confession. Through these evenings, our mission is to create spaces where young people can encounter Jesus through authentic community and spiritual formation.
Throughout the summer, missionaries receive ongoing formation and supervision through the Office of Youth Discipleship. This training is rooted in a deeper understanding of the Catholic faith and in learning how to witness to the transformative power of Christ. Formation includes Scripture, liturgy, prayer, relational ministry, and intentional team life.
Living and serving in close community is both one of the greatest blessings and challenges of the summer. The Cor Christi team works side by side at the Pastoral Center in Fargo, preparing for events and striving to lead youth closer to Christ. The team consists of five to eight members who share a passion for helping young people encounter the Lord.
In addition to serving youth, missionaries are called to care for one another by witnessing to faith, hope, and love in their daily lives. The friendships formed through this shared mission often endure long after the summer has ended, continuing to bear fruit in the lives of those who serve.
