Joseph Splonskowski grew up outside of Glyndon, MN. As a small child, he was constantly watching the altar servers at Mass ministering with grace, and watching the priest let God work through him. When Joseph was finally privileged to join the ranks of servers, he had the honor to serve under many priests and Bishop Folda for a full 10 years, which helped to strengthen his understanding of the Eucharist. Joseph has been to many retreats such as Search and JMI, which helped him greatly in his spiritual life. His parents have been very supportive in any vocation he discerned if he believed it was what God was calling him to. When he told them he was discerning the priesthood, they were very supportive and told him to talk with the Vocation Director. After several meetings, he asked for an application to seminary to continue his discernment with greater intentionality.
