Kellan Wiberg was born to Jason and Heidi Wiberg and grew up in Devils Lake. He attended St. Joseph Catholic School through the eighth grade. He first felt the call to the priesthood in middle school, though he quickly dismissed the thought. It wasn’t until after facing a great struggle in high school that Kellan surrendered and put his complete trust in the Lord. The thought of being called to the priesthood returned during Holy Week of 2025. This time, he took the thought seriously. Kellan began receiving spiritual direction, attending daily Mass as often as he could, and praying a holy hour of adoration once a week. Kellan attended the Vianney Discernment Retreat where he requested an application for seminary. After visiting St. Gregory the Great Seminary on a Come and See Weekend, he knew that he needed to complete his application. Kellan was accepted by Bishop Folda as a seminarian in June of 2026.
